evaṃ yudhyan bhagavatā bhagne bhagne punaḥ punaḥ /
ākṛṣya sarvato vṛkṣān nirvṛkṣam akarod vanam //
22. Thus he fought on with the glorious Balarama and, when each tree was cut to pieces, he pulled out one by one all the trees on every side and denuded the forest.
