avantiṣu dvijaḥ kaścid āsīd āḍhyatamaḥ śriyā /
vārtā-vṛttiḥ kadaryas tu kāmī lubdho 'ti-kopanaḥ //
6. In the country of Avantis there was a twice-born person possessed of extensive riches: he pursued agriculture, and was miserly, full of passion for women, covetous and very irritable.
