kuśa-kāśamayaṃ barhir āstīrya bhagavān manuḥ /
ayajad yajña-puruṣaṃ labdhā sthānaṃ yato bhuvam //
31. And there the venerable Manu spread a bed of Kusa and Kasa and worshipped Yagnapurusha (Vishnu) from whom he had obtained that place (on the earth) for his residence.
