yāḥ kardama-sutāḥ proktā nava brahmarṣi-patnayaḥ /
tāsāṃ prasūti-prasavaṃ procyamānaṃ nibodha me //

12. (Now) hear as I tell you of the sons and grandsons of the nine daughters of Kardama who have been mentioned and who became the wives of Brahma Rishis (the Brahmin sages or sages born of Brahma.)
