ākarṇyātma-jam āyāntaṃ samparetya yathāgatam /
rājā na śraddadhe bhadram abhadrasya kuto mama //
37. On hearing that his son was coming back, the king did not believe it, as if it were the coming back of one that is dead, and he thought, "how could such a happy thing be the lot of my unfortunate self."
