karanyāsaṃ tataḥ kuryāddvādaśākṣaravidyayā /
praṇavādiyakārāntamaṅgulyaṅguṣṭhaparvasu //
7. Then he should proceed to place (and contemplate the Lord) in the hands, etc., the letters of the sacred formula of twelve syllables beginning with the sacred syllable and ending with the letter _Ya_ in the joints of the fingers and thumbs.
