karanyāsaṃ tataḥ kuryāddvādaśākṣaravidyayā .
praṇavādiyakārāntamaṇgulyaṇguṣṭhaparvasu .. 7..

Then one should perform the placement of hands with the twelve-syllable mantra,
from Praṇava to the syllable 'ya', on the joints of the fingers and thumbs. 7.
