māsaṃ pumān sa bhavitā māsaṃ strī tava gotrajaḥ /
itthaṃ vyavasthayā kāmaṃ sudyumno 'vatu medinīm //
39. Born of thy family, on this condition let Sudyumna freely protect the earth; a male he will be by turns for a month and a woman for the next.
