purūravasa evāsīt trayī tretāmukhe nṛpa /
agninā prajayā rājā lokaṃ gāndharvameyivān //

49. It is from Pururavas that in the biginning of Tretayuga the Trayi (the threefold Veda) was derived, O king. By virtue of maintaining the fire that was his son the king attained to the region of Gandharvas.
