9.6.13

kṛtānta āsīt samaro devānāṃ saha dānavaiḥ /
pārṣṇigrāho vṛto vīro devairdaityaparājitaiḥ //

13. At the close of Krita age there was a war between the gods and Danu's sons and this warrior (Puranjaya) was invited to be their ally by the gods who had been defeated by Diti's sons.
