vacanāddevadevasya viṣṇorviśvātmanaḥ prabhoḥ /
vāhanatve vṛtastasya babhūvendro mahāvṛṣaḥ //

14. According to the instruction of Vishnu, the most powerful Lord and Ruler of all and God of gods, Indra was desired to be the bearer of Puranjaya and so he became a great bull.
