9.9.40

aśmakādbāliko jajñe yaḥ strībhiḥ parirakṣitaḥ /
nārīkavaca ityukto niḥkṣatre mūlako 'bhavat //

40. Of Asmaka Mulaka was born; he was protected by women; therefore he was called Nareekavacha. He became the first of the Kshatriya race when it was destroyed by Parasurama and was hence called Mulaka.
