manuvedavido hyādyāḥ sarve viṣṇukalāḥ smṛtāḥ //
Countless indeed are the incarnations of Hari, the storehouse of sattva, O twice-born ones;
the Manus, knowers of the Veda, and others are all considered portions of Viṣṇu.
