vṛṣaṇasya madhuḥ puttro madhorvṛṣṇyādivaṃśakaḥ /
kroṣṭorvijajñivānputtra āhistasya mahātmanaḥ //
Madhu was the son of Vṛṣaṇa; from Madhu came the lineage of Vṛṣṇi and others.
To Kroṣṭu a son was born, and Āhi was the son of that great-souled one.
