puṣpamaṣṭaśataṃ japtvā haste dattvā nakhaṃ spṛśet /
cāturthiko jvaro rudra anye caiva jvarāstathā //

Having recited [the mantra] a hundred and eight times over a flower, placing it in the hand, one should touch the nail: / quartan fever, O Rudra, and also other fevers [are cured].
