prapitāmahasyāñjalidānam /
oṃ namo vaḥ pitaro rasāya namo vaḥ pitaraḥ śuṣmāya namo vaḥ pitaro jīvāya namo vaḥ pitaraḥ svadhāyai namo vaḥ pitaro ghorāya namo vaḥ pitaro manyave /
namo vaḥ pitaro gṛhānna pitaro dattaḥ /
namo vaḥ pitaro dadhme tadvaḥ pitaro vāsaḥ /
mātāmahānāṃ trirañjalidṛ /
tato mātrādīnāndṛ //

The offering of water-handfuls to the great-grandfather: / 'Oṃ, homage to you, ancestors, for sap; homage to you, ancestors, for vigor; homage to you, ancestors, for life; homage to you, ancestors, for svadhā; homage to you, ancestors, for dread; homage to you, ancestors, for wrath! / Homage to you, ancestors; ancestors, give us homes! / Homage to you, ancestors, we give you this garment, ancestors!' / Three handfuls of water are given to the maternal grandfathers; / then to the mothers and others.
