Oṃ, carrying strength, ambrosia, clarified butter, milk, sweet drink, and flowing beverage, you are svadhā; satisfy my ancestors! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the ancestors! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the grandfathers! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the great-grandfathers! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the maternal grandfathers! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the maternal great-grandfathers! / Oṃ, svadhā, homage to the maternal great-great-grandfathers! / [Offering] for the grandfather: / 'Oṃ, the ancestors have eaten, the ancestors have rejoiced, these satisfied ancestors have purified themselves; drink here, ancestors […] O Jātavedas, enjoy the sacrifice well-offered with svadhā oblations!' / 'Oṃ, the winds blow sweetness for him who follows the cosmic order, the rivers flow sweetness; / may the herbs be sweet for us! Sweet be the night and the dawns, full of sweetness the dust of the earth! / Sweet be heaven, our father, to us; full of sweetness to us be the tree of the forest, full of light and sweetness the sun, sweet may the cows become for us!'
