pitāmahaprapitāmahavṛddhaprapitāmahebhyo gandhādidānamagnaukaraṇam /
avaśiṣṭānnaṃ prapitāmahādipātre kṣipet /
pitāmahapātrābhimantraṇaparyantakrameṇa samāpyāpi brāhmaṇapātrābhimantraṇam /
aṅguṣṭhaniveśanaṃ tilavikaraṇaṃ kṛtvā amukagotra etatte annaṃ saghṛtaṃ sapānīyaṃ savyañjanaṃ pratiṣiddhavarjitaṃ ye cātra tvā manuyāśca tvāmanu tasmai te svadhā iti //

Offering fragrance and other items to the grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather; offering into the fire. / One should cast the remnant food into the vessel of the great-grandfather and others. / Concluding in order up to the consecration of the grandfather's vessel, also consecrating the brāhmaṇas' vessels. / Inserting the thumb and scattering sesame seeds: "O so-and-so of such gotra, this food is for you, with ghee, with water, with condiments, free from forbidden items, and for those who follow you here and whom you follow; to him, to you, svadhā!"
