tanmadhye bhavavṛkṣaṃ ca ātmānaṃ ca vicintayet /
adhomukhīṃ tataḥ pṛthvīṃ tattacchudhdaṃ bhaveddhruvam //
In its middle one should meditate upon the tree of worldly existence and the self; / Then, upon the earth turned downward; thus that particular [element] is surely purified.
