guṇavadguṇasampadāṃ vibhūtirviparīto vyasanodayasya hetuḥ //

A wise man should not acquire a diamond merely by the classification of its type;
a virtuous one brings abundance of blessings, but an adverse one is the cause of the rise of misfortune.
