Garudapurana 2.15.33

2.15.33

tena bhūmirbhavettuṣṭātadadhiṣṭhātṛdevatā /
dvāre tu piṇḍaṃ deyaṃ ca pānthamityabhidhāya tu //

By it, the earth and its presiding deity become pleased.
At the doorway, a piṇḍa should be offered under the name Pāntha;
