kathaṃ pretaghaṭaṃ kuryāddadyātkena vidhānataḥ /
brūhi sarvānukampārthaṃ ghaṭaṃ pretavimuktidam //
The king said: / How should one prepare the ghost-jar, and in what manner should one give it? / For the sake of compassion toward all, tell [me of] the jar that grants liberation to ghosts.
