sādhu pṛṣṭaṃ mahārāja kathayāmi nibodha te /
pretatvaṃ na bhavedyena dānena sudṛḍhena ca //
The ghost said: / You have asked well, O Great King; listen, and I shall tell you, / through which firm gift the condition of a ghost will not arise.
