upakramairupasaṃhārasya liṅgairhariṃ guruṃ hyantareṇaiva yānti /
tānevāhuḥ satpurāṇāni viprāḥ kalau yuge nābhyasūyanti sarve //
By the interpretive marks such as commencement and conclusion, they proceed straight to Hari and the guru. / The genuine Purāṇas speak of only them, O brahmins; in the Kali age, not all are free from malice.
