ādyāṃśaṃ vai karmakāṇḍaṃ vadanti dvitīyāṃśaṃ dharmakāṇḍaṃ tamāhuḥ //
Hear that distinction, O brahmins! The Purāṇa named Garuḍa consists of three sections. / They call the first section the ritual section (karmakāṇḍa), and the second section they call the section on dharma (dharmakāṇḍa).
