atīva dainyena dhanādikaṃ ca saṃpādya sarve 'pi supāpaśīlāḥ /
kaṣṭārjitaṃ dravyadhanādikaṃ ca tyajanti sarve paśavo vyarthameva //
Having acquired wealth and the like with extreme wretchedness, all of them of exceedingly sinful character, / these beasts vainly squander all their wealth and property earned through hardship.
