satpātrabhūte viṣṇubuddhyā kadāpi tyajanti naite māyayā vai murāreḥ /
eṣāmāyurvyarthamāhurmahāntaḥ kathaṃ naṣṭā iti samyagruroda //
They never give away [their wealth] to a worthy recipient with the thought of Viṣṇu, because of the māyā of the Enemy of Mura. / The great say that their life is in vain; how are they ruined?" Thus he wept bitterly.
