tadā lakṣmīḥ kutra palāyate 'sāvato mūlaṃ viṣṇupādaṃ bhajasva //
When, O husband, bound fast by the messengers of Yama with nooses and beaten with whips, / where does this Lakṣmī flee then? Therefore, worship the root, the feet of Viṣṇu!
