taṃ dārayati vajreṇa yasmāttasmātpurandaraḥ /
caturdaśasu cendreṣu mantradyumnastu ṣaṣṭhakaḥ //

Because he tears it open (dārayati) with the thunderbolt, therefore he is Purandara.
And among the fourteen Indras, Mantradyumna is the sixth.
