alehyalehasya ca tatsvabhāvaḥ pātuṃ tvapeyasya ca tatsvabhāvaḥ /
dvayoḥ svarūpaṃ ca vihāya mūḍhaḥ punaḥ punaḥ svīkarotyeva nityam //
such is its nature in licking what should not be licked, and such is its nature in drinking what should not be drunk. / Having abandoned the true nature of both, the fool continuously accepts them again and again.
