matvā samyak mānasaṃ yā karoti hyataśca sā śyāmalāsaṃjñakābhūt /
malaṃ vakṣye haribhaktervirodhī sulohapātre sannidhānaṃ ca tasya //
She who properly makes up her mind after reflection, hence she was named Śyāmalā. / I shall speak of impurity, which is opposed to devotion to Hari, and its presence in a vessel of good iron.
