kalpādau saptamaṃ dvīpaṃ tasya puṣkaravāsinaḥ
loke ca pūjitaṃ yasmāt puṣkaradvīpamucyate //

At the beginning of the kalpa, the kingdom of this king, who lived in the lotus, was the seventh dvîpa:—on account of the great praise and honour given to it by the people, it came to be known as Puṣkara.—4.
