kambalāśvatarau nāgau vipule yamunātaṭe
tatra snātvā ca pītvā ca sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate //
He who bathes in and drinks the water of the Yamunâ, at the high banks presided by the Nagâs, Kambala and Aśvatara, is freed of all his sins.—27.
