pānīyamapyatra tilairvimiśraṃ dadyātpitṛbhyaḥ prayato manuṣyaḥ
śrāddhaṃ kṛtaṃ tena samāḥ sahasraṃ rahasyametatpitaro vadanti //

The Piṭris say that one who offers them a libation of even water and sesamum on the Ratha-Saptamî day, gets the same benefit as he would by performing Śrâddha regularly for a thousand years.--10.
