evaṃ śūdro 'pi sāmānyavṛddhiśrāddhe 'pi sarvadā
namaskāreṇa mantreṇa kuryādāmānnataḥ sadā //
A Śûdra can also perform the ordinary as well as the Vṛiddhi śraddha with uncooked grain, by uttering the formula of namaḥ instead of Vedic mantras.—70.
