dānapradhānaḥ śūdraḥ syād ityāha bhagavānprabhuḥ
dānena sarvakāmāptir asya saṃjāyate yataḥ //

For thus said the Lord Bhagavân :—Charity is the best thing for a Śûdra, by performing which he gains all his ends.—71.
