195.2

sūta uvāca.
ityākarṇya sa rājendra oṅkārasyābhi varṇanam.
tataḥ papraccha deveśaṃ matsyarūpaṃ jalārṇave .. 195.1

Sûta said:—Yudhiṣṭhira! hearing the glory of the Narmadâ and Oṃkâreśvara, king Vaivasvata Manu put these questions to the Lord Matsya in that vast ocean, viz:—"Relate the gotra (clan), vaṃśa (dynasty) avatîr (descent), and prâvara (family) of the Ṛiṣis Also explain the existence of the Vaivasvata-manvantara as well as about the curse that the Lord Śiva had pronounced on the Ṛiṣis during Svâyambhuva manvantara Enumerate the progeny of Dakṣa and also the Ṛiṣis who are the promoters of Bhriguvaṃśa?—1-4
