*ṛṣaya ūcuḥ
kathaṃ kauśikadāyādāḥ prāptāste yogamuttamam
pañcabhirjanmasambandhaiḥ kathaṃ karmakṣayo bhavet //
The Ṛiṣis asked the sage Sûta to relate to them how the sons of Kauśika in their fifth cycle of birth, putting an end to their desires, attained emancipation by their power of Yoga.—1.
