tīrthāni yāni śastāni pitṝṇāṃ vallabhāni ca
nāmatastāni vakṣyāmi saṃkṣepeṇa dvijottamāḥ //
Sûta said:—Charity performed a little after midday in the third part of the day in Abhijit or Rohini gives everlasting benefit. I shall enumerate to you in a nutshell the chief holy places that are dear to the Piṭris.—2-3.
