31.20

*yayātiruvāca
dātavyaṃ yācamānasya hīti me vratamāhitam
tvaṃ ca yācasi kāmaṃ māṃ brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi tat //

Yayâti said:—"One should give away according to one’s means to one’s supplicants; and it is also my vow not to have any matrimonial connections with you; now you yourself tell me what am I to do of these two things."—20.
