tatastenābhiśāpena naṣṭe dharme punaḥpunaḥ
lokasya ca hitārthāya jāyate mānuyeṣviha //
Since then, owing to that curse of the sage, Viṣṇu manifests Himself among men for the good of mankind, whenever there is a decay in righteousness.—107.
