karṇasya vṛṣasenastu pṛthusenastathātmajaḥ
ete 'ṅgasyātmajāḥ sarve rājānaḥ kīrtitā mayā
vistareṇānupūrvyācca pūrostu śṛṇuta dvijāḥ //

Karṇa became the father of Vṛiṣasena who begot Pṛithusena. “Ṛiṣis ! I have enumerated to you the family of Aṅga ; now I shall relate to you the family of Puru.”—103.
