bhuvaḥ pramāṇaṃ sarvatra jñātvordhvam adha eva ca
tataḥ sṛṣṭiṃ viśeṣeṇa kurudhvamṛṣisattamāḥ //
“O, ye Ṛiṣis, who are sons of Dakṣa! first reconnoitre the extent of the universe and then set yourselves to the work of creation.”—6.
