te tu tadvacanaṃ śrutvā prayātāḥ sarvato diśam
adyāpi na nivartante samudrādiva sindhavaḥ //
“On hearing the above words of the Sage Nârada, the sons of Dakṣa started to survey the length and breadth of the universe, and ultimately lost themselves, as the rivers do when they fall into the ocean. They have not returned unto this day.”—7.
