mudgalasyāpi maudgalyāḥ kṣatropetā dvijātayaḥ
ete hy aṅgirasaḥ pakṣaṃ saṃśritāḥ kāṇvamudgalāḥ //
The sons of Mudgala became Brâhmaṇas from Kṣatriyas and were founders of the family of Maudgalyas. Maudgalas and Kâṇvas, mentioned before, were the followers of the school of Aṅgirâ.—5.
