aṣṭāvātmaguṇāḥ proktāḥ purāṇasya tu kovidaiḥ.
ayameva kriyāyogo jñānayogasya sādhakaḥ.. 52.11 ..
The above eight spiritual qualifications of the soul are enumerated by those learned in the Purâṇas, and the possession of these qualities is essential which is, for Kriyâ Yoga, the means to the attainment of Jñâna Yoga.—11.
