devatānāṃ pitṝṇāṃ ca manuṣyāṇāṃ ca sarvadā
kuryādaharaharyajñair bhūtarṣigaṇatarpaṇam //
Every day one ought to perform the five sacrifices, viz., (1) worshipping the Devas, (2) the Pitṛis, (3) feeding men (4) and the lower creatures, (5) and honouring the Ṛiṣis.—13.
