pratilikhya ca yo dadyāt sauvarṇakarisaṃyutam
kārttikyāṃ puṇḍarīkasya yajñasya phalabhāgbhavet //

One who writes this Purâṇa, and gives it away in charity, along with a golden elephant, on the full-moon day, in the month of Kârtika, attains the benefit of performing Puṇḍarîka sacrifice.—27.
