pūrvaṃ dattvā tu gurave śeṣānapyarcayedbudhaḥ
uktānantatṛtīyaiṣā sadānantaphalapradā //
After first giving Dakṣinâ to the *guru*, it should be given to other Brâhmaṇas. This is what has been laid down for the observance of this ordinance—the giver of infinite benefit.—33.
