na kuryāddakṣiṇāhīnaṃ vittaśāṭhyena mānavaḥ
adadallobhato mohāt kulakṣayam avāpnute //
Dakṣiṇâ should be given according to the means of the devotee. It should not be reduced through miserliness. If he does not give any dakṣiṇâ, through avarice or delusion, his family becomes extinct.—109.
